icg1032 Posted March 16, 2007 CID Share Posted March 16, 2007 I have the 8/768. Well, that's what I'm paying for, anyway. I don't ask Comcase questions because I don't want them to start investigating and mess up my speeds. LOL

icg1032 Posted March 17, 2007 CID Share Posted March 17, 2007 Nope, I'll run a longer download and show you it's not just powerboost. I should have done a screenshot yesterday with a big download I did. Lot's of people have been getting sustained downloads of way over their stated speeds. And then on the reverse side, lots of people aren't even getting powerboost. There's a guy in California who gets sustained downloads of over 20Mbps and he's on the 8/768 like I am. Don't ask why, it just happens.

icg1032 Posted March 19, 2007 CID Share Posted March 19, 2007 As I said in another post, not everyone is getting those speeds. Even here in Chicago it is really sporadic. bryanlautt Posted March 19, 2007 CID Share Posted March 19, 2007 FIOS is not offered in my area thus I am not happy. I could get FIOS here well its not Verizon but is a small company in my town that offers fiber right into your house. theres no modem of no such just hooks up right into your router or if you dont have a router right into your computer so i guess its one less device that it has to go through but i know they offer 10mb down and 512 up but i cant get it in my apartment because landlord doesnt want all those wires on his building because they would have to run network cable all over the building.
