Swimmer Posted March 14, 2007 CID Share Posted March 14, 2007 http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/columns/cableguy/cg1105.mspx Take a look at that.. it looks like the newer stack operates much like the linux stack.. It determines the best windows for you and that is what you use. I dont have a vista machine to play with, yet, but I am sure that there is a registry hack or option located in the network card properties to disable the Auto-window feature. I havent been able to find a way to disable that i think its just the way they are doing it. But i also havent had to tweak i get very good speeds without doing it. you can manually chance the TCP settings in the registry.

VanBuren Posted March 17, 2007 CID Share Posted March 17, 2007 autotuning works great for me try this bryanlautt go to start-run and paste this " netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal " and hit enter, make a new tcp analyzer test and paste info.
