riceballer Posted April 8, 2007 CID Share Posted April 8, 2007 Hi everyone! I am new to all of this forum so any help you can offer me is greatly appreciated. My connection has been working fine until as of late; it is really slow, my ping and ms in games fluctuate from 300-1500, and is generally sluggish during page loading. I have not had any recent hardware changes or software installs. I called my ISP and they had me do speed tests, and a technician is coming in the next week. I am on a Netgear RP-614v2 router, with the latest firmware. I've checked netstat in prompt for connections and I've tried plugging my own computer straight in from the cable modem/ no router, but I still receive around the same results with download/upload tests. riceballer Posted April 8, 2007 Author CID Share Posted April 8, 2007 Hey thanks for the reply tommie; my mistake for not noting that earlier in my original post - I run regular virus scans, spyware tools, and registry cleaners, and I also defrag at least once a month. Neither of these has helped my situation thus far.
