porsche6714 Posted May 1, 2007 CID Share Posted May 1, 2007 Well folks they finally decided to transfer the Buffalo area over to the Roadrunner networks. It took almost 1 year to complete. I lost internet all Sunday and it was really slow monday but everything seems to be back to normal. I not exactly sure what package i'm on so I dont know if this is good or not. On adelphia I had 4000/384 but roadrunner claims that their standard service is 5000/384. So if my service is indeed 5000Kbps download there is some room for improvement. The upload is down about 50Kbps from what I used to have with Adelphia (~430 to 375) but I was always over cap. Lets just hope I'll see some of those speed upgrades that other people in New York are receiving. :::.. TheHalf Posted May 1, 2007 CID Share Posted May 1, 2007 Yea, it happen early Sunday morning as I seen the last ping to my PC was at 4:19am, then my modem was in standby so all I did was recycle my modem and I was back online with no problem. Unfortunately my speeds are a different issue as I am at 245Kbps down and upload just takes too long to get any results. I called their service center and like many others, it's wait another 24hrs. wait another 24hrs., but they were polite to inform me that until my regular speeds of 6Mbps768Kbps were back, they would credit my account for the days my line speeds were too slow. Like a few others I was also over-capped averaging 7Mbps down and about 880Kbps up. TheHalf

But its seems as if now i'm back to putting along at a massive 350Kbps, but i was always overcap with adelphia. :::..
