When i was on 3cap.......i could hit 3.8-4 now the most iv'e hit would be 5.5....... Here is my test results, and cablenut screenie.' cap is 5/384 :: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 4946 Kbps about 4.9 Mbps (tested with 12160 KB) Download Speed is:: 604 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Test Time:: Wed Jan 26th 2005 3:06 PM MST Bottom Line:: 88X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.7 sec :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 5207 Kbps about 5.2 Mbps (tested with 5983 KB) Download Speed is:: 636 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Test Time:: Wed Jan 26th 2005 3:11 PM MST Bottom Line:: 93X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.61 sec Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . VanBuren Posted January 26, 2005 CID Share Posted January 26, 2005 thats basicly the same settings as my Cabletweak for 5000 384 you have changed DefaultReciveWindow it should be multiple with 1024, the rest looks good have you tryed the setting i have in my file? DefaultReceiveWindow - The number of receive bytes that AFD buffers on a connection before imposing flow control. For some applications, a larger value here gives slightly better performance at the expense of increased resource utilization. Value Type: REG_DWORD Default: 4096/8192/8192 2. DefaultSendWindow - This is similar to DefaultReceiveWindow, but for the send side of connections. Value Type: REG_DWORD Default: 4096/8192/8192 17. GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize - The TcpWindowSize parameter can be used to set the receive window on a per-interface basis.
