zoheb6007 Posted June 6, 2007 CID Share Posted June 6, 2007 guyzzzzzzzz, need ur help plzzzz help me out. i m from Mumbai,India and have a broadband connection from our provider "SIFY". Almost all the users having Broaband connection is using DC++. we all use to get goooood speed in range of 1-10 MBPS. some use to even get 25 MBPS speed. SIFY came to know the popularity of DC++. So SIFY blocked the traffic on DC. And now we all are not even getting speed more than 50 Kbps. So plz plzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Is there any way out to get back our old speed in MBPS without begging to SIFY for removing the traffic. ANY SUGGESSTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED So guyzzzzz plz help me out I am posting this thread in behalf of all the users in our LAN PLZ help us. We all will be much thankful to you all. wanna kindly inform u that there is a user on DC++.he works for SIFY(Broadband Provider). he alwayz gets speed in MBPS from all users and everyone gets speed in MBPS from him . we all gets speed in MBPS only from him and not from other users. wanna ask u guyz, what kind of tweak or software he might be using to get speed in MBPS. {{{ Eg: if he haz ip 10.11.2.15 and i hv ip 10.11.5.24 .then if he downloads from me , hiz ip changes to 10.11.5.15 so that he is in same range}}} But same range ip doesnt work for us plzzzzz gimme some suggessions. i'll be thankful. xs1 Posted June 7, 2007 CID Share Posted June 7, 2007 Try changing the port to something off the wall. If their limiting you, it may just be on the common DC++ port. Try changing the port your dc++ uses and see if the speeds re-increase. If they do not, than its a network wide change.... but i highly doubt it. xs1 Posted June 7, 2007 CID Share Posted June 7, 2007 Well what ports you can use depend on what ports you have open. If your behind a router, than youll have to manually open the ports you wish to use. If your not behind a router, than just make up an off the wall port.. like 43667.. These are just examples 1 - TCP : 5555 UDP : 20715 2 - Your ip address : www.ipchicken.com 3 - honestly, not too sure about but should / could prolly be left as is. BTW im using apex DC++ so.. My connection settings screen will vary from yours/
