granpa Posted August 27, 2007 CID Share Posted August 27, 2007 I have a PC I want to swap out the board. I'm not sure ( don't remember) how to do this with XP Pro and not have to reload the whole system. Seems that I can remember something about doing this back a few years ago by just going into control panel and do something with hardware change and shut down and make the swap and boot back up. Any input appreciated.
Grambler Posted August 27, 2007 CID Share Posted August 27, 2007 I would recomend uninstalling all drivers associated with the old motherboard. Also copy drivers from cd for new motherboard to a directory on the hard drive in case you can not access the cd drive.
