dlewis23 Posted November 9, 2007 CID Share Posted November 9, 2007 Simple answer is no. PCI express is a completely different slot. Just curious, why are you looking for motherboard upgrades? Are you looking to upgrade your current system or build a new one with it.

dlewis23 Posted November 10, 2007 CID Share Posted November 10, 2007 Well I want a faster processor and went looking for a socket 775 and found this. you will need to buy ram for that as well. and a video card if you want something better then the crap GMA 950 it comes it. Oh and a heatsink because its a OEM processor.
RTB Posted November 10, 2007 CID Share Posted November 10, 2007 The parts may be harder to get, but it's still possible to upgrade to s939 and get a dual core. That way you can keep your RAM, and if you get the right motherboard you could keep your AGP card. But my real recommendation would be to upgrade to AM2. Motherboard for 50, CPU for 50-70, memory for 30-60 and then anywhere between 0 and 100 for the video card.
nanobot Posted November 10, 2007 Author CID Share Posted November 10, 2007 But you see I already have a system and just wanted to upgrade my CPU to a faster more reliable one. But in doing that I would need to get a new motherboard due to sempron going out of sales. This motherboard would need to come with a processer (or find a cheap one for it) and have DDR RAM and an AGP Graphics card slot.
