coolbuster2007 Posted December 18, 2007 CID Share Posted December 18, 2007 Hi, everyone & merry new year(up n coming)i am currently doing a CIW web design course.Bit of a problem @ mo(kinda screwing me ed up.Question: How long does it take a user to download a 70-kb homepage if he or she's using a 56Kbps modem?.Please help. its on a case-to-case basis. if your isp is still using an analog switch or V.34 analog modem traffic (encoding style), your speed for a 56Kbps modem connection is at most 33.6 Kbps. so, a 70 kb homepage is downloaded in 2.0833 seconds. if your isp connects to or is a local phone company with digital lines that accommodate 56Kbps connections or should we say support either ISDN or V.90/56Kbps analog modem traffic, you can download a 70 kb homepage in 1.25 seconds.
