derek22x Posted February 14, 2008 CID Share Posted February 14, 2008 hi i would like to ask about the signal of smartbro.. there is a way to extend our signal by putting external antenna into it? does signal change the speed of smartbro connection? t :smiley:Thanks At some point, it may affect the speed. To increase the signal, you may want to put a parabolic reflector to your SM

derek22x Posted February 14, 2008 CID Share Posted February 14, 2008 can you post on how to do it? some formula and materials that i need to make it. Thanks in advance You need to buy a reflector or use an old satellite dish. The ideal one is an old direcTV dish. I don't know if there's DirecTV here in the PI but any satellite dish will do You can search Canopy in wikipedia and it will return a result with a picture of a backhaul attached to a reflector. derek22x Posted February 16, 2008 CID Share Posted February 16, 2008 Of course you still have to point it to the AP (Remember the LOS rule?) You'll use just the Satellite Dish (Just the dish, the reflector) and not the receiver, your receiver will still be the Canopy SM. Google is everybody's bestfriend, try to make friend with him. In other words, GOOGLE it!
