VanBuren Posted February 7, 2005 CID Share Posted February 7, 2005 I have now read about Sat tweaking and even tho its very diffrent from other connection types i will give it a shot i couldnt find any cap, does anyone know what cap these connections have? Aggr3 Posted February 8, 2005 CID Share Posted February 8, 2005 Van .....the cap seems to depend on any moment in time that they (dway) chooses......I've never heard them admit to anything......in my 3 yrs and hundreds of hours with them. But I will say my 4000 was way faster than this 6000 crap. I was usually around 2100 Kbs with it......doing good to see 1000 with this new one.... VanBuren Posted February 8, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 8, 2005 thanks, i see Rev was up around 1.5 Mbps on the DW 6000 with 2992 KB file to get a accurate score, the 2992 file is best to use. have anyone seen a score from a DW 4000 user above 2 Mbps on 2992 KB test? VanBuren
Aggr3 Posted February 8, 2005 CID Share Posted February 8, 2005 Yea but Rev has a commercial account......twice as much money ...and half again as much speed. Lots more bandwidth .....bigger Fap.....and diffrent sat and governor.....

VanBuren Posted February 8, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 8, 2005 ok here is the test version, its many files, try em out Cablenut cant restore your current settings unless you save your current settings to a certain .ccs file in cablenut. Cablenut can restore the values to windows default, unlike many other tweak programs, you can use cablenut to clean up certain tweaks. NOTE: If you have Dr:TCP or TCP Optimizer, make sure to use same MTU value in those programs as the file you loading in cablenut. good luck and please report back the good and bad ps: also remember to click save to registry and reboot after you loaded the new settings VanBuren

VanBuren Posted February 8, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 8, 2005 I updated the files, here is a new version you will need Cablenut program https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 install cablenut, download the attached Satellite winXP 2k.zip and unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut open cablenut adjuster, if you like to backup your current config, click file in top left corner, click file, click save custom settings file and name it backup.ccs now click load custom settings file and browse to C:ProgramCablenut and now you see MTU 1460 and MTU 1500 folders, choose the MTU that you have and test the files in that folder. just dubbleclick on them and after that click save to registry and reboot, you need to do that each time you load a new setting. good luck VanBuren

ccr1958 Posted February 8, 2005 CID Share Posted February 8, 2005 yes if the weather is decent & dway is working properly i am at 1.5 consistantly at peak hours but i went back to the old version 4.0.3.9.....as dway put out new versions & service packs i always noticed worse speeds....i reformatted my hard drive & had a chance to do a clean install of dway 4.0.3.9... completely uninstalling every bit & piece of dway from your system is impossible i think unless one reformats the hard drive.....if i feel my software has become corrupted i run web setup this way & it seems to restore better than reinstalling the entire program from scratch... 1. open ms DOS prompt a. click start b. select run c. type command and hit enter 2. type C: hit enter .... if DirecWay is installed on a different drive then use that drive in place of C 3. type
