VanBuren Posted February 8, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 8, 2005 If you have DW 4000, try all the DW4000 files and compare and same goes for DW6000 users, try all DW 6000 files i builded them diffrent, and if i see a pattern, i will work from that VanBuren

VanBuren Posted February 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 12, 2005 VanBuren......what would be the Default receive window value for a TCP window size of 474280 & which setting in cablenut turns on timestamping.....thanks DefaultReceiveWindow should be 1024 x your capped speed in KB/s so a 2 Mbps connection should have 2000 / 8,192 = 244 KB/s x 1024 = 249856 same goes for DefaultSendWindow but then use the upstream cap the TCPWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize is best to calculate with this calculator http://www.dslnuts.com/bitsbytes.shtml so with a MTU of 1500 you have a MSS of 1500-40 = 1460 and with a MTU of 1460 its 1460 -40 = 1420 Bandwidth in KB/s ( downstream) in this case 244 Latency = the worst possible latency to the gateway you enable Timestamping in this parameter 23. Tcp1323Opts - This parameter controls RFC 1323 time stamps and window-scaling options. Time stamps and window scaling are enabled by default, but can be manipulated with flag bits. Bit 0 controls window scaling, and bit 1 controls time stamps. Value Type: REG_DWORD
