Never4saken Posted March 7, 2008 CID Share Posted March 7, 2008 I downloaded the dd-wrt, and it works great. I was wondering if anyone has run into issues trying to use there VOIP since they have downloaded the Flash? I can use the phone and I can hear people on the other end, but now I cut away sometimes. I have tried disabling the WIFI, and still get the same results. I have my Tx turned up to 100mw, does that matter? I would think it shouldn't since the router is at 2.4 Ghz, and the phone I use is at 5.4Ghz. Thank you in advance for any type of solution. mudmanc4 Posted March 7, 2008 CID Share Posted March 7, 2008 Welcom never4saken . Look around on your interface to find settings for bandwidth useage, most likely the "breakup" is due to insufficient upload bandwidth.
Never4saken Posted March 8, 2008 Author CID Share Posted March 8, 2008 That makes perect since Mudmanc. Thank you. I guess do due the rural setting that I live in, I don't have much of a choise. I use safelink, which is like clearwire. Or is there away to change anything that might help?
mudmanc4 Posted March 8, 2008 CID Share Posted March 8, 2008 Have you installed "cablenut as of yet? There are many ccs files ( files that are specific to your connection) that you can down load. Start here https://testmy.net/topic-1013, then there are other things you can do as well, keeping in mind you are simply tweaking your connection to get the most out of it, but the bandwidth that your ISP provides is really your bottleneck.
