kaveman Posted May 11, 2009 CID Share Posted May 11, 2009 After a re-install of XP, I noticed I had lost a considerable amount of speed. Turns out it was Sunbelt's Personal Firewall slowing me down. I don't know why. Comcast offers the McAfee security suite free to customers so I installed that, and speed is back!! I just know it was saying I was running at about 60% of the average Comcast user's speed and only giving me 2 and 1/2 stars, with the tag, "you may need some help", lol. Now, I'm back to 5 stars and a "I'm not worthy", lol.
