ManiacalOne Posted May 5, 2011 CID Share Posted May 5, 2011 On this computer I get 10mbps down/25mbps up when torrenting, but when I run speed tests I only get 3mbps down/20mbps up. My advertised speed is 25/25, and that is the speed I get when I pull out my crappy laptop to troubleshoot. My download speed just shot down a few days ago. Another problem that seems related is really poor streaming quality. I can't even watch a youtube video 480p or 360p(same with dailymotion) without it buffering all the time. This doesn't make sense to me either as even with my reduced speed it should be enough to load a normal quality youtube vid. I turned my modem and router off overnight, and have restarted my comp a few times. I ran tests for spyware and viruses and got nothing. I poked around my router settings to check if something changed (which makes no sense as my network is secure and no one else has used my network for 2 weeks). So, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
