I live in England and have an NTL 750k connection which runs through a Linksys Router. I followed the instructions at this post http://www.testmy.net/topic-2097'>http://www.testmy.net/topic-2097 but it didnt improve my speed at all. I also follwoed the basic VanBuren TestMy.net Cablenut settings which didnt improve my speed. Here are some pasted results that the thread above recommended 1. php Posted March 17, 2005 CID Share Posted March 17, 2005 its possible that the distance overseas is causing that speed difference... maybe VanBuren can do more for you when he gets on
disturbed Posted March 17, 2005 CID Share Posted March 17, 2005 well steve12345....as to im not an expert in broadband tweaks, but i understand few things...your speed of 750k is going to seem lower if u test on a mirror overseas - thus u can expect not to get full 750k.....u can find a test mirror in england and test that way, it should be accurate
