gantman Posted March 27, 2005 CID Share Posted March 27, 2005 Hi, I'm going to be adding more RDram.. I currently have 2 128mb chips.. Can I buy one 512mb chip also to go with these 2? I think I remember somewhere that RD ram needs to be installed in pairs? Damn this rd ram is expensive Thanks for your help Link to comment https://testmy.net/ipb/topic/3596-rdram-question/ Share on other sites
LC Posted April 2, 2005 CID Share Posted April 2, 2005 yeah RDRAM does have to be installed in pairs:( One of my machines (dell 8100) uses RDRAM and I have just given up on adding more ram than I have now (384) went ahead and bought a new machine...gave the old one to the wife:) so the answer would be no you cannot just add one stick of rdram...if you cant afford two sticks of 512 then get 2 sticks of 256 Link to comment https://testmy.net/ipb/topic/3596-rdram-question/#findComment-38226 Share on other sites
