Hello, I am new to the forum and have been reading some of the questions and answers. I must say, I am very impressed with the knowledge level of the folks on this forum, My knowledge level concerning the nuts and bolts of sat. internet is low, so please excuse.

I would like to route the signal

I'm not an expert, but I can easily reach 300 feet out of my home to the park across the street with my DI-524 wireless router and Toughbook at the other end.

This is with the standard factory antenna.

You can pick up directional high gain antennae quite cheap ($30-$40) that should easily reach that distance with little degradation.

It has a bunch of antenna choices; you will need to keep the connector style in mind when matching an antenna to your router.
