do you have a firewall? If so disable it

if you have a router, try both with and without it

firewall is off my setup is the comcast home networking thing Linksys WCG200-CC it's a wired & wireless system, the PC in the den is wireless and this one is wired ,the wireless one gets 3.2 - 3.9 ? I would think that the wired one would be better.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

no change, did install VisualRoute 2005 and it gives me this message...Analysis: 'testmy.net' was found in 16 hops (TTL=48). There appears to be a firewall at hop 0 or 1 that is blocking incoming ICMP TTL expired in transit messages for hops 1-15. Please contact your network administrator for help.

I have turned off the firewall in windows wth???
