Ah yes ccr1958, I had Charter cable before I moved out into the sticks......man what a difference going with DIRECWAY....a BAD difference that is. Luckily DSL is now available here so DirecWay is about to get the boot.

thanks for replies....i was one of the lucky ones with dway i suppose....had the dw4000 system for a little over 2 years & it served its purpose with no major problems....but cable finally became available & time to move on

For me it's just the opposite. I had Charter here before I had Direcway. When Charter was up it wasn't much more than dialup speed. I threw the cable out in the street and told um to come and get it. I live on the east side of the Sierras with the local third world Verizon telephone co. So it's nice to have something faster than Charter.

Still waiting for internet over the power line, it is proposed in one of my rural areas.

Not only does the product have to come to the area......service as well. I previously had a capped 128k connection speed on cable. The system would very seldom work correctly, better part of the time it would not work at all. Prices were ridiculous as well. My options were very limited at my home.
