bent240LV Posted May 14, 2005 CID Share Posted May 14, 2005 i was wondering about this authentication tab on my local area connection. currently i have it checked to enable IEEE802.1x authentication for the network then the EAP type is smart card or other certificate. then down below it is cheked to authenticate as computer when info is availabel. Should i leve these checked? oh also do i realy need to keep client for MS networks protocol installed under the genereal tab? thanks

KingCobra Posted May 15, 2005 CID Share Posted May 15, 2005 802.1x authentication allows you to use multiple layers of security authentication.
