tennesseeme Posted June 26, 2005 CID Share Posted June 26, 2005 u MIGHT need to update your routers firmware, and then see if your STILL losing packets before you call your ISP. Be sure you familiarize yourself with your router, and how to flash it's firmware. Some routers have it on their "configuration" panel, within the routers firmware address, (usually 192.168.1.1) look for "update firmware" other then making sure all your filters/barrel connecters are in tact.. this would be your only other choice.. then, u might want to request a "homerun" if it's an ongoing problem. homerun = from node to modem, nothing in between, nothing split off of, like tv or voip phone, good luck getting what you pay for!
