It is possible that now that you have digital cable you are going to need a line booster... That is what happened with me... Just call the tech support , I know.. I hate them too, and explain the problem... Have the tech come out and figure out what the problem is... if it is hardware related your modem should be covered if you bought/rented it from you ISP

:) Welcome to the site , hope you enjoy the site and your new found speed. As Swimmer said your modem may need tweaking or have a problem,although it sometimes cost more I always get my equipment from the company I get my service from, the idea being if I'm told I have a problem its what they sold me and its on them to fix or replace it.As they say you get what you pay for....(sometimes...hehe) have fun and keep visiting:)
