sunbird Posted June 30, 2005 CID Share Posted June 30, 2005 Hey guys, I've tried other forums for an answer, so far without luck
resijs Posted June 30, 2005 CID Share Posted June 30, 2005 Default settings are the best, try using a beacon interval of 50 instead of 100, also we may need to change another few settings, but it's very important not to screw them up. sunbird Posted June 30, 2005 Author CID Share Posted June 30, 2005 Thks for the quick response! How do I change the beacon interval?
resijs Posted July 1, 2005 CID Share Posted July 1, 2005 Use the webpage 192.168.1.1 with the default password of admin, don't worry no one else can access it, but you. Next go to the wireless tab, then advanced wireless, then beacon intervals.

pitbull481 Posted July 2, 2005 CID Share Posted July 2, 2005 Welcome to The Forum sunbird best thing to do is "go wired" if you have a desktop pc. PC to PC tranfers is much better and faster. You only wnat to go wirelss if you have a laptop.
sunbird Posted July 2, 2005 Author CID Share Posted July 2, 2005 I agree that wired is faster, but 5mbps for 802.11g which is spec'ed at 54mbps is unacceptable. I'm sure there must be a logical reason...... I'm convinced there's a setup problem somewhere, but don't know enough about the registry and driver settings (yet) to solve it.
