resopalrabotnick Posted August 26, 2005 CID Share Posted August 26, 2005 If you run a speed test and the result seems wonderful, make sure it is not /way/ over your advertised speeds. if you're supposed to be getting 5 meg down and you hit 45 for example, chances are you have a cached result. while this may be entertaining to you as an oddity, or even to send to friends that don't know better, please be aware that pretty much all members on this site are aware of the possibility of cached test results. there is no point whatsoever in posting insane results and claiming they are real. if you must post them, do so in a context that inquires about methods of achieving a valid result. thank you. a concerned netizen.
