Elite.Pete Posted September 3, 2005 CID Share Posted September 3, 2005 seems like atleast once a day my internet disconnects when im not watching/home and it's become really annoying. a comcast tech had me check my power settings for my network card it was set to shut it off so i changed it to never shut off but i still have this problem and no one seems to know why. ive scanned for viruses/spyware and i have none this really has me stumped any help is appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Swimmer Posted September 6, 2005 CID Share Posted September 6, 2005 Cable internet is based on frequency coming down the line.. if the signal is to strong aka too high of a frequency.. the modem will not pick it up.. meaning that you have no internet!
