cholla Posted September 5, 2005 CID Share Posted September 5, 2005 just- Read the topic below RTT is equal to the total latency of all the nodes so is your max latency.Try a site close to you when you do the ping.Maybe your ISP. & Some information suggests you do a large DL at the same time. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-7808.0 Anotherway might be to take the highest time to each node in a tracert & add them together.I think that would also give you max latency.Again doing a large DL at the same time. cholla Posted September 5, 2005 CID Share Posted September 5, 2005 The only thing with only the ping command is it only pings with 32 bytes.The ping method in the link lets you ping with your MTU - 28 in general 1472 bytes for broadband.
