Should my connection setting be: Direct connection to the Internet Auto-detect proxy settings for this network Manual proxy configuration No Proxy for..... raptors892004 Posted September 8, 2005 CID Share Posted September 8, 2005 If you have configured your settings in Local Area Connections for Primary DNS Server (e.g.: 192.168.2.1 - router), Local IP Network Adress (e.g.: 192.168.2.2 - 1st network pc, 192.168.2.3 - 2nd pc, etc..), then everything should be fine without configuring. I also have a router and my IE and FF work without any configuring of proxy - just the config in the Local Area Network settings for the Ethernet card, which goes to the router..
