REV0LUTI0NIZED Posted September 9, 2005 CID Share Posted September 9, 2005 I have a D-Link DI-624M and for some reason I'm not able to hear some of my buddies or join their rooms on Xbox Live. Is their anybody that knows how to fix this issue? Here is a pic in case you guys dont know which one it is.
Swimmer Posted September 9, 2005 CID Share Posted September 9, 2005 make sure that it is in gaming mode.. Looks like the firmware for xbox live on that model has not been release yet.. http://www.dlink.com/products/xbox_live_compatible.asp the 624 is different than the 624m so dont flash the router.. Dilatedpeoples28 Posted September 9, 2005 CID Share Posted September 9, 2005 ive heard that some of the nat firewalls in different routers wont let them conect to each other. Ive had the same problem with a few people.
REV0LUTI0NIZED Posted September 10, 2005 Author CID Share Posted September 10, 2005 Well... I guess I'm going to have to wait for D-Link to make another firmware for the DI-624M.
Swimmer Posted September 10, 2005 CID Share Posted September 10, 2005 yeah.. you could put the ip address that you are using in the dmz and not have to wait for the next firmware..

Shug7272 Posted September 10, 2005 CID Share Posted September 10, 2005 Disable your firewall in the router and forward the ports Xbox Live uses, I have had to do this with PS2 when me and my wife play Socom 2 on the same router due to this exact issue. Swimmer Posted September 11, 2005 CID Share Posted September 11, 2005 if you place the ip address of the xbox you will not have to worry about forwarding port.. the xbox will respond to any pings from outside sources
