my internet has been dropping alot lately...

so i looked in event viewer and this is what i found.. how do i fix this

this happens alot also

i called comcast and they had me turn my dns client service off..

too lazy to look it up but if that router uses NAT you need to either turn it's dhcp on or give your comp a fixed ip. as long as the router then gets its ip from the modem all should be good.

from your post it looks like the comp is asking the router for an ip... give it that same ip manually.
