anox195 Posted September 26, 2005 CID Share Posted September 26, 2005 Just a question for all of you kids that know alot about internet connection speeds...Is there a type of internet service that offers say speeds at about like 384kbps upload but you have unlimited bandwidth?? By this I mean say your hosting and with a 384kbps upload speed you can send files at 45kb/s. But say your sending 5 files to 5 different users, a regular service will split that 384kbps by 5, so each client will only get 9kb/s instead of 45kb/s. I want a service that will offer 45kb/s to 1 or 15 users at the same time. I was wondering if this exists yet.
peepnklown Posted September 26, 2005 CID Share Posted September 26, 2005 ISPs control the bandwidth; you need more upload bandwidth. You might want to look into business plans.
6arett Posted September 26, 2005 CID Share Posted September 26, 2005 So thats more like maybe a 768 kb upload pipe. I dont think theirs any service that can let you upload consistent 45 kbs with an advertised speed of 384...And Verizon FiOS can do that for you, with a nice 200+ kb upload speed
resopalrabotnick Posted September 26, 2005 CID Share Posted September 26, 2005 looks like you want to share a lott of stuff with a lot of people. easier to just rent some ftp webspace somewhere. easier to trace to you too. mwahahaha
