Uly0815 Posted October 8, 2005 CID Share Posted October 8, 2005 I too have been experiencing a slow internet connection from Cox. I'm in the Northern VA area and I have the 5/2 plan. On average, I get 5.5/1.4 and I'm very happy with that. The problem started on Oct. 2 causing my speeds to heavily fluctuate and significantly affecting the quality of connection. Downloads were from 1.1 Mbps to 5.1 Mbps and uploads were from 20 Kbps to 1.1 Mbps! I can't even play my online games anymore because of lag. Very frustrating
dn0 Posted October 8, 2005 CID Share Posted October 8, 2005 What are your signal levels? Motorola modems (and many others) use http://192.168.100.1 to open diagnostics page. If you can get your signal levels, post back here....
