raptors892004 Posted October 30, 2005 CID Share Posted October 30, 2005 since u got no spyware or trojans/viruses maybe its a program u have running (or the hdd as u say).. How long do u leave the computer on? When mine returns from screensaver mode, its slow as hell for the first 10-15 secs (It also slows down if i leave it on for a long period of time a bit)

cak46 Posted October 30, 2005 CID Share Posted October 30, 2005 well, sometimes its when i return from sleep mode, and other when im just on my computer, doing normal stuff and then it gets all laggy and messeg up Might be a stupid question, but do you have an auto scan set up for any of your spyware and/or anti-virus programs? This could drag your system down. Auto-Updates for MS and other programs can also cause the same issue..... Hibernate will cause laggyness because the system writes your session to disk then "hibernates". When you bring it back, it reads your session back into memory. If you want, shut off all power saving options to see if that might be part of the problem.
