euskir Posted November 4, 2005 CID Share Posted November 4, 2005 I've got the same modem, a 1 MB connection, and in South America :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 908 Kbps about 0.9 Mbps (tested with 1013 kB) Download Speed is:: 111 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2) Test Time:: Fri Nov 04 2005 20:47:26 GMT-0300 Bottom Line:: 16X faster than 56K 1MB download in 9.23 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 46.45 % faster than the average for host (com.ar) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-AG39PK5ME So, you've got a real problem. First things to check. Restart modem. Disconnect modem (electric plug), shutdown computer. After five minutes or so reconnect modem (electric plug), when the first four light are on, startup computer. If the download speed still sucks I think you must call your cable company.
