wyantm06 Posted November 25, 2005 CID Share Posted November 25, 2005 Ok here is my issue. I have my Xbox 360 setup. I also have my 360 going to my Toshiba PCX 5000 modem. When I do a test on Live it says my NAT is strict. Is there a way I can get it to be open so I can play my friend? It stops us from playing. resopalrabotnick Posted November 25, 2005 CID Share Posted November 25, 2005 shut off any port filtering functions on the modem? edit. don't know if you can turn off the router part of the modem to make it assign only one external ip, making it essentially a dumb modem, not the modem/router combo it now is? I don't see no update for the Toshiba PCX 5000. So I don't know. I think I might just have to get a new modem and router that is seperate with it. Dang this sucks. wyantm06 Posted November 26, 2005 Author CID Share Posted November 26, 2005 Well...I tried hosting the game first (no luck) then he tried hosting it, with no luck there either. I emailed Toshiba the company who made my modem to see if they can open the Xbox ports. I just did what Microsoft told me to do. Hopefully they will email me back asap.
