I found these values in my routers web page under the Status tab.  I have a Home LAN so I am not clear as to what the, WLAN and WAN is referring to and why is there apparently some signal in these areas.  I thank you for your assistance.

Lan refers to local area network, so your home network (every computer, xbox, ect connected to your router. Wlan means wireless local area network, again the same thing except wirelessly connected to your router. Wan refers to your actual internet connection, connected you to your isps lan so you can acess the internet.
