might wanna call em and see which plan your actually on,, i just had mine installed and day of install i was only running the 3 megservice when i ordered the 5 meg and had to call tech line and they fixed it,althghough now thinking they do offer a slower speed and maybe that is what yours is,, its bout like direcway speeds,,and i shit canned them,,so try that,,also dl cablenutt if you havent already,,

what i have done is this,, and i dont get my constant advertised speeds using limewire,,but have hit 14,00-15,00 kb at times,,go to optionsfirewall config,,set yuour listening port to 6346,,and try using pnp forwarding set to 6346 as well,now go to searchingor maybe its speeds,whatever one the 2 will offer to all speeds,,you will only want to dl from cable/dsl t-1,t-3 speeds,and make sure to check only return 3 and four star rating in searching now go to uploads,,change sockets per use to 1 multiple uploads to 1maybe 2,slide bandwidth measurer for uploaders to min required,,i dont allow freeloaders, might want to uncheck it and try unchecking oob searching,,try that and see if it helps,,, i use charter as well and havent had any problems,,

its nothing major it helped me a little for i got cable nutt and the tcp optimizer

i checked it again as i had to reboot here is exactly what it said,, current cpu temp 79.c/174.f current system temp 38.c/100.f cpu fan 1 speed 3378 rpm cpu fan 2 speed 0,,theres 2 fans i dont understand why its not running

well that gave me some interesting stuff,, i did go into cmos and checked the temp after restarting and it was up to 76 c isnt that high?? shldnt it be lower,,plus i found some articles saying the battery cld be low or almost out,, according to this i dont have a batterie,,geez what a mess,, i did try changing some stuff in cmos loading optimized settings so well see what happs from here

thanx cholla,,it froze up about noon and i never cld get it to come back up till now and when i started it up it again said cmos error f1 to continue delete to enter setup,,and its not in the cubby ive had it out in the open on top of my desk since last night,,i have no idea if it has a temp sensor i can ask the guy that built it for me,,im almost afraid what little research i have been able to find comparing these symptoms,tends to sound more and more like a bad processor its hard to pin down thgh,,the fan came with the processor both those came from some place on the internet he found on pricewatch,,my hd is brand new too,,so i dunno i just hope i dont have to fork out more $ for another processor

,,hmm with the mem thgh doesnt it check the mem for any bad sectors when you install xp pro or in ma case since i have to partition mine,,and if it was a power prob any ideas how i narrow it down or find out if it def is?? thanx for the help
