  1. CAN I GET A NERD IN THA HOUSE!!! Its just a game buddy, your not getting rewarded for hosting as in pay or prizes. and you have a bad server.
  2. yo anox what ISP do you have that gets that 2/1 connection?
  3. I don't know if anyone else has this but if I want at anytime I can call this comcast guy up which I know and tell him to install comcast HSI at my house for only $300 one-time fee, and never pay a monthy bill for as long as you live. Im not sure if anyone else has heard of this or has it but sucks to be you because I do.
  4. I heard this from some guy that he called a couple of days ago and comcast said to him that they will be upgrading in his area (didn't tell me where he lives) to a 10/1 connection.
  5. Anyone heard of this line coming out in the next couple of weeks to a month? I heard that this is available for bussiness and will be deployed for residential in the next couple of weeks? Has anyone else found this to be true?
  6. ^^^ How is that horrible server of yours treating ya night hawk. finally found out you can't do 10 on beach?
  7. yah i never knew that that is why i posted with and without my usb crap. and still i get horrible speeds, 2 MB under my cap.
  8. road runner is actually at 512 and 768 and earthlink is also at 512. i got people that have these connections with these ISPs.
  9. My signals are ok, there are right at the minumum and my upstream signal is beyond bad. My modem is the sb5100 and its owned and been around for a year now. I tweak my settings and everything with cablenut and all that. I get beautiful transfer rates above 1MB/s but when I play on the xbox or do speed tests and load up pages and things like that it runs slow. And yes I clean my computer out daily and reboot everything daily.

  12. you wish nerd. comcast sucks so don't worry in no time you'll be getting around 4.7
  13. I did post on the Comcast forums. I know that my upstream level iS HORRIBLE. It has to be something with the lines or the node. And i know that can be a reason why my connectin is slow (ethernet converter usb crap) but I also use the xbox with the connection and it is treamendously slow on that too. But i'll get this fix and buy me a ethernet card today or tomorrow. I also tweak and get the same exact speeds. I use Drtcp and cablenut.

  16. Im getting 4.0 Mbps of download over here, that is exactly half of my connection of where it should be, my upload is around 700.
  17. bellsouth is in the dust with they crapptastic speeds, even comcast has 8/768 now for only 52 bucks for cable customers.
  18. I currently don't have bellsouth but planning too because of this upgrade. I live less than 5,000 feet away from my C.O. and wondering if there are any planes with upload going up to 768kbps, if not that bellsouth is the worst ISP ever and has one of the dumbest people running it. Also that 9/3 plan is impossible and should never of been posted since the limit of regular adsl which is in use by bellsouth right now can only go up to about 8mbps/900 or something kbps upload. It would take years to re-install all the lines in the southeast for bellsouth to have plans that go up to 9/3 with adsl2. Just wanting to know if bellsouth is going to 768 up if not im not getting it. Please tell me what they are planning to do so I can have some hope to get this BS bellsouth connection.
  19. well then what the hell is my problem if I am running on one of the best modems and still getting half my connection speed?

For my download I can never go past 5000Kbps and my upload I can never go past 700Kbps. I had this problem since the begginning I had Comcast. I had it like a year and a half ago and cancelled that and went with Bellsouth. Couple months later I switched back to Comcast. I have the sb5100 modem and I run through a linksys router provided by vonage. I am running on Windows XP service pack 2. The only thing that bothers me is that I am a serious gamer and I seriously need my connection fixed both download and upload. So if any one out there that can help me I'll be glad. I am also having another technician come over again this Sunday.
  21. I don't want to host like scruffy, I just want to know that whenever the hell I want I want to run a perfect server so I can play on my server and so will others without lag. I tried to run a 14 man server on wolfenstien and the people in the server told me it was laggy but still decent enough to play in. But not good at all.
  22. very nice eebobb, everything for me sucks with Comcast now. I was able to run 16's in wolf and 8 man non-dedicated servers in Uc2 perfectly like 6 months ago. What the HELL should I do? I live in pompano beach, florida 33069. My other house in hollywood is less than 5000 feet from the central office so I am thinking to get bellsouth their when they upgrade to 6.0/768 Also look at this: http://ttester.broadbandreports.com/tweak/block:375d16a?service=cable&speed=8000&os=winXP&via=normal would the transfer efficiency do anything to screw up my connection.
  23. I have the same exact problem in the Fort Lauderdale area. I cant help you but i can tell you that your not alone. But i have the sb5100 modem and I am running on the 8mbps connection and I can't get past 4.9 either.
