  1. In simple english of what I have read on the subject in the past as long as both parties accept the electronic signature no matter what it is it is considered valid.  Everytime you sign up on a web site, shop online, or pay a bill on line you are using a mutually agreed upon electronic signature.  As for the qualiy/robustness through an e-mail is up to what you and the person/company want to agree upon.  It could be as simple as an agreement or disagreement in an e-mail replay to an encrypted code that you both have the key to for extra security.  Most of it will depend on what is at stake.

  2. What a crock, sorry about being so straight but both suggestions that I made earlier about an external HDD and the PC backup both use the USB port.  Guess Ryan did not read correctlly, or he just forgot about his USB drive itself.  Besides as he stated "His mommy bought the thing for him so he can't spend the money and has to depend on mommy for it.

It all goes back to the responsibility of the consumer to back up the HDD of the PC or console.  Honestly I doubt any repair facility will take a console without the HDD unless you get luacky and have this prearranged with them.  I also doubt, even though I made the suggeation, that a repair facility will swap your drive unless this is again prearanged and paid for extra.  Look at nearly every PC game bought.  Even Microsoft recomends making a copy of the CD first then using the copy to install Windows and putting the original up for safe keeping.

Good luck in your 360 not taking a dump on you but if it does break and it is sent to Microsoft it will need the HDD otherwise it will be sent back COD.  Again good luck and sorry about being so blunt.

  3. It's like any other PC.  If it crashes and you do not have a backup or another PC to through the drive into then you are just SOL.  These things are not made to fail in 6 months.  Again like any PC it's enemy is heat.  I have read plenty of forums of people haveing these systems fail because they do not allow sufficient cooling around the vents.  It is called takeing care of your equipment.  I have seen plenty of PC's give all kinds of problems from the blue screen of death to just shutting down for no reason.  Remove the case blow the pound of accumulated dust, clean the fans off and no more problems.  You other solution could be to purchase a second 360, when and if yours fails, swap HDD's then return the new for not working.  Expensive to do but you'll have your HDD.  Again unless where ever it is sent to they are willing to swap the drive or allow you to keep your drive and you send them the console and they use an off the shelf drive to fix yours.  Other then that take some responibility and purchase a backup of some kind, plus if you can afford to shell out $400 dollars for the premium console and $60 bucks at a time for games I'm sure you can afford a $50 solution to back up the HDD before it fails.

  4. Rmemeber it is the consumer's/your responsbilibty to backup your PC HDD so you do not lose info needed after it is repaired.  Same goes for a HDD in a game console unless you pay extra for it.  On that not I did finde the Xbox 360 attachement that I mentioned in my earlier post.  When I saw it at Gamestop it was $40 US.  Found a site that wants $49.99 US.  Still not a bad price to pay to not lose all of your hard earned game saves.

  5. I would guess like any computer that is returned for repair the HDD would be wiped clean.  The first thing they will sya is what is on the HDD is the cause of the problem.  When swapped they just give you a new console with a new HDD.  At EB games I saw a device that allows the X-Box 360 to connect to you PC HDD.  Not familiar with it nor do I recall the name but it may allow you to back-up the X-Box 360 drive before sending it off.

  6. If you were to change the IP address scheme to something other then her computer and password protect the router so that her boyfriend cannot get in should slow him down greatly.  Especially if the router is limited to only a specific number of addresses.

I have a linksys router that I can block IP addresses and MAC address on the local network.  Since the MAC address is hardwired to the nic card they would have to change cards, or set it to allow only certain MAC addresses.  There are routers out there that can do all kinds of blocking.

In closing who is paying for the network?  Whoever is the owner of the network they should be able to say who has access or not.  Also who paid for the computer?  I do like that etherkiller cable though I would say it is a bit extreme in this situation.  Could also get a few broken cables to connect that could have a slow down too.

Not much but hope it helps.

  7. You may want to recheck your info.  This is an Apache video using 30mm cannon.  Here are the links to back it up.  Follow them and you will get to the edited versions of this video.  Everyone of these talks about an Apache not the Commanche.

After hitting the "backspace" key twice.  cached speeds look nice.  Usually I'm at between 5.5-6.5Mbps.  Yes I realize the above is not a true test.

  9. By looking through the "Internet Header" that is on each and every e-mail he can to an extent.  Not sure if it wiil give the PC IP address or your router address.  There is also software that will break this down into plain english and make it easier to decipher.  This header is a standard that every e-mail program must follow in order to work.  There is also supposed to be mail spoofing programs that fools the recipient into thinking it came from somewhere else.  But again look at the header and you can find out where it came from.

  10. I was having a similar problem.  I connected to the other cable connection I had in the house and everything jumped back to where it was supposed to be.    Something I have not seen in any of the tips, unless I overlooked them, is check the cable connections.  I'm also using Comcast.

Apperantlly the cable outlet I was on has a problem.  It is not affecting the television though.  I'm no longer complaing.  Wish everyone's slow issues could be solved this way.  Plus I'm using Cablenut and Bruen's(sp) tweaks.  Sorry about butchering the name.
