  2. :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 809 Kbps about 0.8 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 99 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (server1) Test Time:: Thu Jan 19 2006 01:05:20 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 14X faster than 56K 1MB download in 10.34 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 36.59 % of your hosts average (onelinkpr.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-CGA1EVHZK really sucks, how are your signal levels guys?? mine are awfuly bad look at this and I even have the modem at the tap, yesterday and a few days ago my downstream levels were at 9-10downstream dbmV and 36 dbmV upstream, now im getting 15 which is the limit downstream , ohh god whats next.
  3. fucking onelinkpr, this shit is so slow right now bah!
  4. I think we will be seeing more of this as they merge and move servers DNS , probably backbone etc... It really sucks I just hope we can get a good backbone once the hops go outside of PR instead of the crappy miami and shit we are getting, I can't even connecting to IRC sometimes ... they are analyzing p2p protocols for sure, this might help in bandwidth but they are trying a cheap band-aid fix instead of moving bandwidth as it should. Also I analyzed their downstream and upstream ratio of users , I see more than 200 people per upstream channel which is very bad... I called them and told them what to do and they are looking at it, I hope it works .
  5. Check out my tracert !!! look specially at the second hop guys, onelinkpr.net having BIG ISSUES WITH HOP #2 Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] © Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. tracert www.testmy.net Tracing route to www.testmy.net [67.18.179.85] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 38 ms 12 ms * host-70-45-48-1.onelinkpr.net [70.45.48.1] 2 195 ms 8 ms 8 ms host-70-45-94-41.onelinkpr.net [70.45.94.41] 3 47 ms * 37 ms 68.168.1.33 4 37 ms 30 ms * unk-426d0ef9.adelphiacom.net [66.109.14.249] 5 37 ms 32 ms * a1-00-00-00.c0.mia95.adelphiacom.net [66.109.1.2 25] 6 71 ms 60 ms 59 ms p3-00-01-00.c0.dfw91.adelphiacom.net [66.109.0.2 5] 7 65 ms 61 ms 61 ms g1-02-03-00.p0.dfw91.adelphiacom.net [66.109.3.7 4] 8 62 ms 71 ms 61 ms eq-dallas-1000M.theplanet.com [206.223.118.3] 9 65 ms 60 ms 60 ms vl31.dsr01.dllstx3.theplanet.com [70.85.127.29] 10 70 ms 59 ms * vl41.dsr01.dllstx4.theplanet.com [70.85.127.83] 11 68 ms 61 ms 66 ms gi1-0-1.car17.dllstx4.theplanet.com [67.18.116.6 9] 12 68 ms * 68 ms 85.67-18-179.reverse.theplanet.com [67.18.179.85 ] Trace complete.
  6. Here is my download test at 12:41 AM on January 19th :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 3034 Kbps about 3 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 370 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (server1) Test Time:: Thu Jan 19 2006 00:37:32 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 54X faster than 56K 1MB download in 2.77 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 38.35 % faster than the average for host (onelinkpr.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-WJKXD8EO0 As i've seen a lot of you guys, our problemis definitely packet loss related thats why your games are very slow, latency problems.resopalrabotnick, I hope what they said is true... because as soon as they fix those HOPS specially the miami one we are going to see a very good improvement overall. And Yes i agree with you, we get whats left of the bandwidth once it leaves PR. I hope
  7. And btw im new to adelphia powerlink(onelinkpr.net) as we speak... I've only had it for about 5 days but still what I dont like is all the waiting. My browser has to wait a bit to get the info and display, other times is fast as hell. The problem? I think we merely have packet loss in transit at the HOP. resopalrabotnick , I have done some tracert and what i've found, yep the miami hop is worse than crap. always giving me packet losses.
  8. Yes during the day it can be better but still I see a packet loss of 10% at my end which is definitely not good. I'm wondering what kind of signal levels do you have ?? downstream and upstream? Right now as I'm writing this to you is 9:40pm and is slow as expected. Web pages take a while to contact and retrieve info, something that doesn't usually happen during the day.
  9. To tell you the truth, now they sold their ISP to onelinkpr.net so they are always changing things around. I have done a lot of quality line tests and I get packet lot with them. Im wondering what they can do about it though.
