do you happen to be using a plugin called IE7pro...that gives me errors on some pages.. nothing serious but i don't like to see that caution icon in the bottom left of my browser... or i have had flash get corrupted & after uninstalling & reinstalling that fixed some errors too

try this.... click start button...then click run...in the box type sfc /scannow it should scan for corrupt or missing files & you may be prompted to insert your install disc....good luck oh i see you can't click start...well try shutting down & see if you can get to safe mode & if you can then run the above command

search for winxp power toys & download tweakui i am pretty sure you can repair icons with that & a few other handy tweaks..it is free from microsoft

i have been running vista ultimate on a 2 1/2 y/o dell 8400 with 2GB ram & an ati x800 with 256mb memory since the 1st day it was released....i like it after i have become use to it...but i do have some issues...the onboard soundmax driver is screwy...when i record streaming video i get picture but no sound...says i don't have a wave out...& ie7 does some wierd things like on some sites it will not remember my password & the links on my start page stay highlighted until i run crap cleaner & forget running cablenut or any other tcp optimizer as at this point none work...i installed vista just for something new to mess with....i still have xp on my alienware...so if vista won't cooperate then i use it... oh does anyone know how to make the desktop icons smaller....i mean a lot smaller..they are huge...the only setting i can find for this is the advanced setting in display properties & i have it all the way down to 16 as far as it will go & it barely made any difference....

i noticed a few days ago that my 10/1 package was only performing at approx half speed.... i didn't think too much about it as we have been having cold rainy windy days lately so i figured something us up with that....then a couple nights ago a friend at work says charter upgraded everyone to the 5/512 package free for a year...i said that is cool..enjoy... this morning i am starting to get kinda aggravated at only running half speed & had a light bulb go off & thought maybe when they upgraded everyone that they downgraded me at the same time...so i called charter & sure as s*it they had my modem programmed for the 5/512... they reprogrammed my modem & now all is fine....so if any of you that have the 10/1 notice speeds aren't up to par you might call & see if they downgraded your service by mistake...

i installed vista ultimate & have tried several times to apply the cablenut setting for my css file...it fills in the parameters in the adjuster & all looks fine..click save to registry & all that works fine...do a reboot & open adjuster & all the Fields are blank except the max. connections per server... also drtcp is doing the same thing...all appears fine till after a reboot.. anyone else having this prob???? also it has been so long since i manually edited the registry for these settings i can't remember where to change the MTU to 1500 & a few other settings like TTL receive window etc....thanks

i think bitcomet has been banned on several trackers.....try utorrent it is very light on resources...if there are plenty of seeds & peers i can max out my dl speed...
