Looks good for everybody else's adelphia speeds. I want mine though :P Paying extra for the 6/768 cap (the modem actually is capped at 7.2mb download 920kb upload).

  2. Thanks for the settings. They are keeping the testing a secret. I talked with a couple techs. They dont want people to know about it. If they dont say anything, then when it happens (like to you), the person just thinks its weird and forgets about it. So this way if it brings the backbone to its knees, they can reverse it and nobody notices it. If it works, then they announce it and upgrade everyone

  3. Web100 reports the Round trip time = 118.99 msec; the Packet size = 1380 Bytes; and

There were 24 packets retransmitted, 204 duplicate acks received, and 132 SACK blocks received

The connection was idle 0 seconds (0%) of the time

This connection is network limited 99.97% of the time.

I set my upload to 384000. I still have to tweak it some, but its the same as my dl, and its very nice. Tweaking it down some should get the duplicates fine, right? My cap is 920kbitish, so its good.

last nite between 2 am - 5am my cable internet was down, the lights were on but the connection was frozen, and at 5:30AM I try it again ang guess what, my speeds are a lot better then before, im on Basic HSI!

here's my latest test with new faster speeds,im so happy, I thought here in Cleveland, Oh will never come so fast!

    2005-02-23 05:32:57 EST: 3757 / 398

    A 469.7 KB/sec transfer rate.

Your upload speed : 408524 bps, or 398 kbps.

The first one, which is better, was taken while the phone was in use. Then it ceased to be used and the speed went down :

  7. Alright. I think 38400 is the best recieve. 256000 gets approx 3.2mbit, and 512000 gets the same. I got approx 5.5 with 38400. Is there any finer tuning besides adding / subtracting 128000?

Anyway, time to go adjust upload.

  9. the voip uses 50kbit. the shaper is quality of service. There is a set of rules, and it shapes the traffic. IE, voip traffic gets sent out before any other data would.

I'm going to try going up and down now starting at 128000 then once i get the dl tweaked, go on to the ul.

  10. alright, thanks. A lot of times with adelphia people get way over their caps anyway. When the cap was 4mb, i got 4.4.4.6mbit download, but never got the upload tweaked right. Is there room for a possibility of going over with these tweaks?

Also, now that in the past week our upstream has gone from 256 to 768, is there a reason to even run my traffic shaper for the voip any more? And should I do like it says and subtract 10% before putting it in the shaper, or just punch in 768? Thanks for the help.
