consistently slow...advertised speed is 5000 up and about 640 down

MJFSOL you are running a  2460 Kbps on a 5 Mbps connection speed over wireless. Are you in the USA   What type of connection is it anyway. Wireless internet besides the wireless router??

Anyway that would appear slower than necessary. I wouold think it should be much faster. 

yes im in the usa....NC to be xact.....

the main comp is hardwired...but the other isnt ...using linksys wireless B

as of this morning the speeds are a little faster...although not much...

hardwired is faster...usually 3.85Mbps

let me add something....i know when it says "may need help" isnt all that good....lol 

but for wireless i mean......and ill be busy trying to hook r up on the ceiling...so i guess ill be down to try....

posted awhile back about my computer prob....it was fixed..about 2 weeks ago

now as of yesterday....when i boot the comp (dell inspiron 8200 laptop)

laptop powers on and works however, there is a warning when you turn it on that says it has detected a 70W power supply instead of a 90W power supply and that it will continue running in battery optimized mode......

well checked my power supply...its a 90W....

and EVEN had a backup 90W supply ....same thing....so im here at the mercy of the crew here..lol

any suggestions?? tried calling the local repair guy....hes not in today..wife said he was busy fishing....lol
