Dont sweat it, its ok. I really want to know why some users seem to prefer speedtest's result score over ours. I really want to know, Im not being a smart ass.
I think ppl including me choose to post the result that shows the fastest speed
Its hard to tell what speedtest that shows most accurate speed, but if your speed is more then 10% of advertised, you should question how accurate the test is
just a sidenote, some servers at speedtest dot net says i have a 30Mbps upload, thats around 3 times my cap...
i could post some scores and claim real but i know better

I dont know, but bus speed seems good, its 4 times the FSBthe FSB of ur quad is only 266 MHz
is this true ?
maybe somone here can give some details how memory, bus speeds, fsb, ratios work together

had to break 11k lolYou'll be hitting 11K before the day is over with.

havent seen any tests with the q6600, i assume its locked CPU multiplier on that onei wish i had your processor. lol
you can get the q6600 now for like $500..
its not much benefits with quadcore in 3d, atleast not yet. I bought this quadcore since i plan to have this PC for 5 years.
I figured its easy to upgrade the videocards when its needed

i agree, more links!Need more validation links so users with results in the ORB can compare properly.

Very nice results Van. Your processor & graphics card are a monster match up. You'll be hitting 11K before the day is over with.
Thxz for the link.
Don't know if my results will improve with the extra gig of ram I put in. Guess I'll OC and test soon.
also a good AGP score
are your GPU at stock speed?
one more gig should help a bit, but i dont think much
almost 11k now
here is the latest clock 616/2030
10967p
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=1751643
think ill give up, dont want to ruin something to pass 11k lol
i think the 320MB model i have suffer in these test compared to the 640MB model, but o well games run smooth and thats all i ask for

i didnt push much, i set the memory to 1000 and core at 620 at first, but then i saw artifacts so i lowered core to 605how far did you get your gpu to van?
i pushed mine to 660 core 2100 memory stable
(500 core/1600 mem stock)
anything higher would artifact
i have eVga 8800GTS 640MB
maybe i should have lowered the memory and increased core, i dunno whats best.
temps got up, gpu was around 80 C idle, dont want to know the temps on load lol

OC the GPU even more, with some luck i pass 11k some day

awesome, i think thats the fastest score ever against testmy.net
With a larger testfile you would most likely go even faster

i use vista only for DX10, for tweaking and maxing out a connection XP is better.
But for most ppl, that knows nothing about tweaks, Vista selftuning RWIN do a great job

looking good DJ
those temps are fine, wish i could be around 30 C on CPU during full load, it more like 60 for me haha
without digging, your 3dmark is around where it suppose to be. You most likely need to OC your videocard to pass 10k, i did that once just to break 10k, but changed back to default again, since i don't have the need for it right now.
now you can run all games at full details and still have decent fps, enjoy !

try that, then you see a estimated need for Watts, but as been said, you need to check the amps aswell

read this thread http://www.hostingforum.ca/244475-e6600-d975xbx2.htmlIt is disabled.
it might be heat throttling

its Intel speed step, disable it in BIOS

looking good, average 194 fps in CS should be more then enough
do you play other games?

i would check this site, http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html#certified_powersupplies

Im happy to just passed 10k, after some OC of videocard and CPU
My videocard single 320MB 8800 GTS is the weak link, with all default i get 9500p so lack of memory is the problem
