  1. Yes you can. My wife put it on her Dell and it worked fine. :cool:

    To use Microsoft Office Small Business 2003, you will need:

        * PC with Pentium III, 450 MHz or higher processor

        * 256 MB of RAM or above recommended

        * 380 MB of available hard-disk space.1

        * Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution monitor display

        * Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later, or Microsoft Windows XP or later operating system

    Thanks a bunch, Coknuck! I guess I just have to have things spelled out for me and they don't just come right out and say it will work on Vista because the software came out before Vista did.

    Roco, I only had Me on a machine for a short period of time, but I don't think there's any software that really works with it.  :evil6:

  2. Does anyone know for sure if you can run Office 2003 Small Business Edition on a Vista box? Microsoft has this listed under requirements: "Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later, or Microsoft Windows XP or later operating system"

    What exactly is later than Windows XP if not Vista?  :uglystupid2:

  3. Is it just me or is anyone else still experiencing slow DL speeds over the past few weeks? I have checked at other sites and my speeds seem to be correct, but not here. What gives?

  4. I hope it lasts. I got Comcasted in July, and the speeds were great for a little while. Then they dropped back down at the beginning of this year and Comcast says "everything is fine, have a nice day!"

    Oh, and I hope you never have to call their pitiful excuse for customer service. They really, really suck at trying to be helpful.  :tickedoff:

    I have Earthlink as my ISP and all was well when Roadrunner was here. Then Comcast took over. They connected me when I moved to my present location, but when I had problems, they informed me that they do NOT support Earthlink. Funny how they charge me every month for it, though.  :knuppel2:

  5. Everyones route changed. The server is now hosted in Houston Texas, not Dallas Texas in the old EV1 DC. The connections to this DC are not quite as good as the ones in dallas.

    Well, hell. I'm IN Houston and my speeds suck ass now compared to what they used to be when the server was in Dallas.  :uglystupid2:

    Compare this to what's in my sig: share2-G1YQ5EJL7

  6. Mine is WAY off with the new server

    I also tested at "another" site that's usually pretty reliable and I got 5100 kbs on the DL and 357 on the UL so I don't think it's Comcast this time.

  7. Test post

    It took roughly 15 seconds for this post to appear even though " Page created in 0.108 seconds with 23 queries. "

    So I think you were right about the post being there but "the problem is that the following page is taking forever to load." For me anyway.

  8. My last post lag a little ,but I think I was trying to post at the same time as you. All my other post were instant too.

    Edit - This post lag about 30 second. It could be Comcast.

    Mine lag badly as well. Roughly 30 seconds and I have Comcast, too.  :tickedoff:

    edit: I posted this as a quote and it posted right away. Normal replies are dragging.

  9. I have to agree with your 2nd choice, shug. Resetting the router won't help and if he's hardwired to the router getting good speeds, the modem is doing all it can do, too.  :shrug:

    I'd still look into the router settings. BTW, MJFSOL, when you updated the firmware, you were hardwired to the router weren't you?

  10. Have you tried it with a different laptop as previously suggested? It seems like you are at the "eliminate the improbable" stage. And yes, wireless b is considered fairly old by today's standards.

    One other thing. Your router is wireless b, but what is the wireless card in your laptop? And can you set your router to broadcast a mixed signal? I have a Linksys router that will do mixed, B-only or G-only. Check the basic wireless settings in the router for this.

  11. See THAT right there is what I am talking about and why I love testmy. Honestly. You can ask a question and not get made fun of. All those ATI guys forget that they had to learn everything they know from somewhere else at some point. Pisses me off to intimidate and talk shit and make fun of people so they feel dumb just asking a question.

    :haha: :haha: :haha: ................ :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

    That's why I enjoy this forum so much. The vast majority of people are here to help and they do so by offering their knowledge in an educating, not condescending, way. Oh, sure, there are a couple smartasses <cough> shug & dlewis <cough> but even they help others.  jk, guys

  12. But I DO belive that Obama is not a muslim, never has agreed to being part of the faith (except as a child - and that was indoctrination. The reference to his religion is wrong. He is a Christian with a different name.

    That's what I was saying here:

    BTW, I really enjoy the e-mails about how we shouldn't vote for him because he's a devout Muslim and will destroy America and the ones like that talking about the Church of Christ he belongs to be radical and racist.

    Let's make up our minds. Is he Muslim or does he worship Christ?

    People always fear what they don't understand.
