welcome to the forum! what model router is it? i have found some problems with a few linksys routers processing data of that high rate of speed. I have a Linksys WRT54GS running DD-WRT 3rd party firmware... and a linksys wrt54gx2 which cuts out after it goes passed 1.5 mb/s but its fine below that... I am on the InsightBB 15/1.5 internet package.. have had no service losses =)

Was playing a game in the internet.. all of the sudden, the router stops and ll the lights 1-4 is lit and (solid) and internet is lit up.. says network cable unplugged and everything

Last Result: Download Speed: 15071 kbps (1883.9 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 1388 kbps (173.5 KB/sec transfer rate) are mine for 15/1.5 and i cant seem to get good speeds passed texas.... i can only pull about 13.5 meg from the tmn servers

the link i posted has always worked fine for me =) but if you want to keep the setting but upgrade at the same time, just go to 192.168.1.1 and write down your settings.. then upgrade to dd-wrt for better responce times etc... its very simple.. just follow the directions =)
