  1. Congrats! mas mataas pa ngayun ang Speed mo sakin! pero oki lang. Im very satisfied with my speed now, no need to rush. In due time, ma tweak ko rin to ng todo. Hehehehe.
  2. Good for you grift3r74! konti pang tweaks yan and your almost a member of the above 400kbps gang.. :azn:
  3. @jun101ph - malamang yung sakin kulang lang din ng line of sight eh. I'd also like to try making my canopy a little bit higher. maybe adding 8 to 10 feet more. ( wag lang sanang tamaan ng kidlat! ) the problem naman is the UTP cable. mukhang tinipid ako ng mga installers eh. Its just enufffrom the canopy to my computer on my room. I cant move my PC if i'll do room cleaning without disconnecting the CAT5e Sheesh!..
  4. Well I wont also argue, Its already been 2 days nows since my "problem" has been solved. And Up until now, I'm still getting a good stream, without interruptions. My electric fan is already set to number 3 and facing my cpu. Hehehe as long as this continues, were looking at 2 to 3 weeks of bandwidth sucking before I reboot my computer again! I just hope that there's no power outages at our area coz my APC can only hold up to 30minutes of power <-- Old model. my RSSI is 290 hehehe. but its maintaining at at least 400 to 430kbps. Thanks to cablenut and the custom CSS of gourame.
  5. You got that good results already and you still want to re-orient your canopy? Dang! Nyehehehe Yeah, Those smartbro TSR's don't know jack about their support, I really pity them, their trainer gets a good salary wage to teach them. But unfortunately its the opposite.
  6. Oh! and by the way. If you heard about the stinger. might as well copy the schematics and the pix that has been posted. you'll need that Ad I do also too. I have found someone from our local hardware store here who can help in fabricating the homemade stinger, but it will cost me at least 300 to 400 pesos. ( I'll try to haggle ) once I got it slapped on top of my canopy, I'll take a picture and post it here! hehehehe.
  7. @jolykhan - well it seems that my problem has been somewhat solved as of the moment. Your RSSI is great! If I could recall, the higher the RSSI and the lower the JITTER the better,. now the only factor remaining is, if your base station is having some "technical actions" or not. Try to read back the past forum posts. and try them all. I'm currently using the cablenut settings from gourame, and it works like a charm!.. haven't used the tcpoptimiser yet. since i don't want to pause my torrent. and jun101ph said that its also helpful, so might as well try it, might be the one your looking for to boost up your speed.
  8. browsing and page loading doesn't have a problem, in fact I think that its also loads quite better now, than before. p2p doesn't have any problems also, I'm using lime wire and it's all good. I'm a bandwidth vampire. and this time, I'm back for revenge.........
  9. yeah! @jun101ph - I'm hoping that this continues. well there's always another color code if ever that there's a problem again  I'm really Glad I asked you guys. your more of a technical support than most of the agents on smartbro combined. most probably, If talked about the configuration of the canopy, they dont know jack what im talking about. Hehehehe. "Ma Try nga minsan"
  10. yeah! most probably Gourame is correct. Smartbro, just automatically do something on their basestations without notifying their affected subscribers first. they should have a network status page on their website. that should be very helpfull, if not lessening a lot of angry calls on their hotline.
  11. Dang Jun101ph!! - your one of the so called "pinagpala" Nyehehehe! I wish smartbro gives everyone that kinda speed. then maybe they'll get more customers and have more loyal subscribers too. I cant post my speed right now. I'm in the middle of downloading a batch of torrents. and I cant pause them since it only has 2 seeders, I may lost them both if i stop these. but im getting a download link of 41kb/s and upload of 35kb/s if I add all in all Since I still got a steady stream of above average connection and speed I'm happy and satisfied with that.
  12. sure thing @nbamaniac. after I got home later this day. I'll try the tcp optimizer at once. It's a;; cool and well actually. I'm quite satisfied with what I have now. I'm able to have a steady link and started my torrent download again. hehehehe.
  13. Alright! I'll try this one then. Seems easy enough to configure. I have save on my Harddrive the settings on the cablenut Gourami gave me a while back. hope this adds a little more speed on my connection.
  14. If ever that their field technicians would come over to my house "again" should I revert back my old settings on the canopy? or just leave it as is? would they report me for hacking or something, if ever they see that the canopy has been tweaked without their knowledge? BTW thanks for all the time and helpfull answers, regarding my problems. You surely gave me something to look forward to in the next coming days. ( Gonna Spam customer care like crazy ) spam so hard, they will block my smartwifi email address from their mail servers! hahahahahah
  15. wouldn't the tcpoptimiser have some issues , if the registry has already been modified by the cablenut? if not. then please post what we should do.. I'm with jolykhan. as long as it would help the connection, I'm up for it.
  16. @jun101ph - your probably correct, since its already night time, the connection greatly improves, ( why I didn't think of that! ) so much for wishful thinking. so I really need to have the stinger. Errr- after I put the stinger on the canopy, would I see the difference at once? or it would take some time for me to notice the speed increase/ RSSI increase? since it seems that I'll just "swak" the stinger onto the canopy ( it should slide right in right? ) no I still need to glue it onto the canopy or something?
  17. And also for those who said that their IP has been blocked.... Im not sure tho. if its really from smart or the TSR's just dumb. But I also did asked that. and they did told em the same thing. that the private IP is just for corporate. and I wont be able to use torrent on my connection. Heck. I laughed on the inside. ever since I got the connection from smartbro. I'm a seeder of torrents, and already filled a 160gb harddisk. Now if only I have constant connection, It would be much much more. hehehe I just leave my PC on for weeks, since I have work, and most of my free time I just watch animes that I have downloaded .. not really sure if the smartbro agents are really saying the truth or not. but I dont really trust them.
  18. well, as of now, I'm content with my bandwidth. since my only problem is the RSSI, then I'll borrow tomorrow morning a ladder to re-orient the canopy myself. and look for someone who can fabricate the stinger. (its really hard to climb up our roof) if I make the pole higher, will it also help in getting good signals?? here's my latest speed. :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 427 Kbps about 0.43 Mbps (tested with 386 kB) Download Speed is:: 52 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 167 Kbps about 0.2 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Upload Speed is:: 20 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/06/18 - 7:28am D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-CO5UX780V U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-69AK3WRVQ User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 [!]
  19. this is my connection right now. like I said , it turned for the worse. Dont know why tho. since Im using the highest RSSI that I can find on the AP list. Maybe I'll try another one. :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 61 Kbps about 0.06 Mbps (tested with 97 kB) Download Speed is:: 7 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 123 Kbps about 0.1 Mbps (tested with 386 kB) Upload Speed is:: 15 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/06/18 - 5:45am D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-V4TAFC1XM U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-89EO4YTW2 User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 [!]
  20. wont they block my port or something? well, i'll let it stay as it is. hehehe. I'm already pissed off at smartbro. (paybacks a B**ch!)
  21. right now, Gourame is helping me with my connection. and Im really thankfull for the great tech support. hehehe. you should be a manager or supervisor at smrtbro's callcenter. Naks! ( no really! ) thanks pards!
  22. wont the constant changing of the colorcode mess up our smart registry/registration or something?? now im really worried.. right now. I got a steady connection, but my speed is crap compared to before that has above average but keeps me getting me disconnected.
  23. the highest RSSI that I got is 279 But I got a quick and steady connection on this. Actually Im using it right now. now whats more concerning is. that when I looked on the AP list and found the default color code I sued to have. Index: 1 Frequency: 5755.0 MHz ESN: 0a-00-3e-f2-36-a0 Jitter: 7 RSSI: 245 Power Level: -76 Beacon Count: 5 BRcvW: 1 DFS: 0 FEC: 0 Type: Multipoint Avail: 1 Age: 0 Lockout: 0 RegFail 13 Range: 4165 feet TxBER: 1 EBcast: 1 Session Count: 2 NoLUIDS: 0 OutOfRange: 0 AuthFail: 0 EncryptFail: 0 Rescan Req: 0 FrameNumber: 1774 SectorID: 4 Color Code: 112 BeaconVersion: 1 SectorUserCount: 40 Frequency: 5755 NumULHalfSlots: 18 NumDLHalfSlots: 55 NumULContSlots: 3 take note on the SectorUserCount!!!! pther AP have below 30. now what im thingking is that, it may have too many users?? Im just guessing...
  24. Oh! and by the way. When you say reboot... is it the reboot on the canopy?? or reboot for the whole computer? me <- I know its a stupid question, but I'd just like to clarify. Coz I tried to click on the reboot ont eh canopy. and Im not really sure what happened...
