  1. @jun101ph - what are the criterias that i'll be looking on the AP list for a good connection?? just the Highest RSSI and the lowest Jitter? or are there any other things that I should be lookin at?

  3. @jun101ph can you give me instructions on how to change Access points on the canopy settings?? I have access, just doesnt know how to.. A little nudge on the correct path would do miracles.! thanks!
  4. I have an access to my canopy!! now I dont know how to switch it to a different access points I see many AP with lower jitter and High RSSI. Those Damn Installers. I think they didnt orient it correctly.
  5. @jun101ph - yeah you maybe right. can I adjust some settings on the canopy to atleast make it compromize for the lack of unreliable signal?? or is the stinger my only and best option?? I dont have any engineer relatives, hehehe. most of our clan is on medicine. But I'm with computers. but not the techkie type.tho.

No its only a single PC connection. the canopy is directly connected to this PC. no firewall except the windows one which is (and will always be) turned off. my AV is called AVG anti-virus. No other apps as of the moment that is running. i have already / defragged / scandisked / registry cleaned / and even deleted and uninstalled files. / I know my connection can still be higher. but as of now, the most pressing matter is my intermittent connectivity / which is making me frustrated and very angry at smartbro.
  7. another question... where can I find on the https://portal.smartbro.net/ my current plan if my base station has been upgraded or not?? is it on the transaction history? Coz if it is! I'm still getting the package name of WF988 I'm one of those subscribers waaaaaay before when they were still smart wifi. I dont have any alternatives that's why I cant move to a different ISP. so much for being a loyal customer. sheesh.!

  9. @jun101ph. - Yeah, I am already thinking about the stinger. only problem is that, I don't know how to do it. nor knows anyone who can.. I'm already looking for someone who can fabricate. but up to now. still no luck. Is it all aluminum? I'm no engineer. Any suggestions on which I can request this to be made? at a hardware store?
  10. I have an access to the canopy settings and checked the Jitter and RSSI its Jitter: 5 usually climbing higher. all time high is 12 and the RSSI: is just at the range of 250 to 300. anyway on the canopy to change this??
  11. Hello Peeps.. I'm from Cainta Rizal and I've been lurking in this forum for quite some time now. silently trying tweaks that has been offered and suggested. and it really does work!. I'd like to say a great thanks to Gourame for those info, well actually to all of you who make this thread since all have contributed in making the smart bro/ken little bearable. But the most gut wrenching problem I have now is not the speed but the connectivity itself. it keeps on getting "limited or no connectivity" I have to IP release and /renew and/or disable or enable the local area connection, for it just to work. more weird part is. it usually connects. but the only activity I see on the LAN is on the SENT but no activity on th received. I'm not really sure what my problem is. / I have already replaced my LAN card. / installed a new OS (winxp sp2) firewall is always off. / AV is set to just monitor (AVG anti-vir) I have already called at least several dozen times to the no good technical support of smart bro / and they always tell the same frigging technical questions and procedures. Now I'm breaking my silence.... I need your opinions and suggestions on this. Please help. you guys are more reliable that the CSR and TSR of smart bro. (they're useless) since its a call center, Well from what I heard, the salary for those agents are also sub standards for a CC. then we the subscribers doesn't really benefit from it.( most likely they're taking it out on us.)
