    Im down and out as of yesterday.  :buck2: :buck2:

    From blazing speed to a crappy nothing! Sheesh! what the hell are they doing on our basestations?

    Im composing this on my work PC. connected through Globe Broadband connection.

    I have already spammed and nuked even their customer support email.

    But up until today still got no luck.

    I dont even have a limited or no connectivity signal, it just doesnt connect.

    just stays "aquiring network or something" sheesh.

    I'm too tired and pissed off at smart bro about this. and as much as possible I dont want to talk to their crappy techsupport. (makes me more furious )

    Maybe the basestation is still under repairs..

    Try calling their hotline *1888 on a smart, tnt or addict mobile phone.. Ask them whats the problem so you will know what it is quickly...

    I tried calling them once when my connection keeps redirecting me to the smartbro portal and they quickly fixed it.. (luckily the one who answered was nice).

    I'm currently using the "obtain DNS server address automatically"

    but i preferably use tcp optimizer, it just work for me :)

    What's your settings for TCP Optimizer? Did you put the slider to 384 kBps and used optimal settings?

    Seems like your net connection does'nt go down below 400...

    Maybe I should try your settings after you post it...

    It seems that they did something at the basestation and reverted back my speed.  :tickedoff:

    im now out of the 400Kbps benchmark. Oh well, ( hindi araw-araw pasko )  :grin:

    I'm pretty sure your hard drive is full of files from P2P anyway because of your previous speeds... :grin: :grin:

    inaway ko ang tech rep ang bobo kasi eh. ang sabi ko sa kanya paki check sa base station kasi request timed out ang ping test ko sa dns servers, putcha nag troubleshoot2 pa naman cya sa pc ko. ang bobo talaga...

    For those who is having speed issues, definitely, the basestation is the problem... Well, it happened to me already and it returned to normal after 2 days..

    Just ask sir jun101ph and sir gourame for help if you're 100% sure the problem is in you computer.. They definitely can help you..

    And remember, you can't do a darn thing if the problem is in the base station!!

    well now, I think my there's really a problem with my basestation. coz my LAN card is sizzling Hot, with these speed!!.

    oh and by the way. I have tried the tcp optimizer yesterday. I think it messed up my connection  :cry: :cry:

    It goes low beyond crappiness. At first I thought its just the rain, since it's raining here yesterday evening, but heck! after I restart my PC. and checked my speed.

    the DL speed is below 100Kbps.!!!!!  :tickedoff:

    Im really regretting using tcpoptimizer, no offence intended  for those who use it, and it works for you guys. Im happy for you! but it seems that it doesnt work for my PC. :cry: :cry:

    even when I tried to revert the settings on cablenut. It does not help. Im wishing its not on my PC but on the base station. or the Rain.

    I dont want to think that I messed up speed in hoping to get more speed.

    what the hell is happening...suddenly, out of nowhere, my connection dropped so drastically? well, i mean, i just managed to download a 700mb movie via limewire with my normal speed 44kB/s then an hour after that, the connection went into 10kB/s..hmmm...im wondering if the tweaking thing has something to do with this...like if i pissed my life off badly...but i doubt it since the settings were in my desktop and there is a very little possibility that it could have gained control over my laptop since they have two different OS.

    or could it possibly be? my desktop runs Windows XP SP2 with all the current updates installed while my laptop is running windows vista ultiimate x32. I heard the tweaking programs are incompatible with vista...

    but really, help me.....i could not just live with this kind of speed....oh my...what a pity...

    P.S. @ gourame, about the leeching thing, i just doubt it...hehehe...anyway, the router's radius doesn't exceed that of my house's...lol

    Look at how my speed dropped drastically at these page too.

    From 400+ kbps down to 60 kbps.
