I would say defragment, use Gparted, and make sure you put the other partition on the other end pf the HD, just to be on the safe side.
-
You lot are getting me excited. Gotta get my HD partitions fixed.
-
Please post your system specs.
And on the tweaking on linux, you can only get so far.
-
You're using Color Code 28 right? That's very nice, it's better than mine.
-
yah i tried, but no effect...IT jzt say "internet explorer could not open the search page"...what should i do? plz...
You're not using any proxy?
-
Don't try moving the canopy on your own. That's breaching the contract, and their not responsible for any accident that might happen. Better call their Technical Support and let them do it.
Anyway, I thought that 10 ft pole was a standard.
n00b question.
how do I access the AP page again? somehow, I forgot how to
Remove n00b when you're here, we don't believe in such nonsense.
Access Canopy Page by going to 169.254.1.1
Under Tools, you'll find the AP Eval tab.

They didn't attach it to the roof? If they did,it should be 10 ft higher than the roof. Mine is installed on the second floor roof, using a 20 ft pole.
-
I have no problem seeding. And note that if you don't upload enough, their gonna limit your download.
-
You can't increase your RSSI, that one is provided by the ISP. try looking for a better AP.
-
well it should work.. it worked on mine.. i used my very old laptop... and its 300MHz beat that!
so it should work.
i believe you have to check that you are logged on as a root user... before you do the tweaking access your canopy page login as a root user.. then once you are successful in logging as root, dont close your browser and go ahead with the upgrade...
how much RAM does it have?
-
217 yes is good but when i'm tying to change
this what will happen..
Hmm, this is what i was saying earlier. you get that when you got to any site? have you tried logging-in to portal.smartbro.net ?
-
Color Code 217 is good.
-
uhh, bump?
what do you guys prefer: Gnome or KDE?
-
I don't even want to try it. I know my machine won't handle it.(think 1.2 Ghz processor, 192 MB RAM)
-
aw sorry to hear that, i must have skipped some line...
by the way, if i'll try this what exactly should i do in the portal? it's kinda new to me..
You didn't skip a line. My English is just bad, that's all.
Just log-in your account. It will detect the changes and apply them.
-
Uhh, you misunderstood me.I meant after changing your Color Code, go to the portal, not go to the portal to change the Color Code.
And second, there are cases where you have to go to the portal after changing just your Color Code. Something about some accounts not having all the features.

here's mine.

Looks like a sloppy work on the installer's side.they didn't look for a good AP, just gave you a working connection. your RSSI is too low. actually, none of them passes the standard 600-700+.
Call them and ask to have your canopy redirected to other APs.

Yeah, static IP sucks.
-
When you change your Color Code, go to portal.smartbro.net
There you will find out if you can change your Color Code. I think some people aren't allowed to do so, something about their account blocked.

CALM DOWN GUYS!!!!
Hmm, it looks like the way I type makes people think I'm angry or something. Really, I'm calm. It's just the way you interpret me,i guess.
-
proxy depends on what browser you are using.
DNS go to you Local Area Connection Status>Properties. There select Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)then click properties.
in the DNS part, select the "Obtain DNS server Automatically" option

Yes I know. Just calm down, we all know that most of us rely in torrent. A thread here about utorrent setup is an evidence.
I mean you're wise being the 50th person to download a torrent.
Good point. let other people try it out first.
still, advising someone to use pirated software is a little off though.
